Resurrecting Samsung P960 is simple. Phone is auto powered on with USB Data Cable connected to the PC while battery is inside. In case you use the battery only please note you will have to press Power On key once.

To resurrect Samsung P960:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Samsung P960 JTAG pads;
  •  Make sure Samsung P960 is selected in the list of models;
  •  Insert Battery into phone and connect USB cable (in case you not use USB cable, press once the Power ON key on the phone)
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect USB cable, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

To enter download mode:

  •  Disconnect PC cable;
  •  Insert battery;
  •  Hold ‘9’ key and press ‘Power ON’ button. In few seconds phone enters download mode.

Resurrecting Samsung S7500L is easy with RIFF box.
Note, one simple way to connect over JTAG – connect USB cable to PC and insert battery. In this case phone is automatically powered on, so no need to press any power-on buttons on the phone keypad.

To resurrect Samsung S7500L:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Samsung S7500L JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure Samsung S7500L is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

To enter download mode:

  •  Disconnect PC cable;
  •  Insert battery;
  •  Hold ‘Volume Down’ and ‘Home’ keys and press Power-On.

To resurrect Samsung A887:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to Samsung A887 JTAG pads;
  •  connect USB cable;
  •  Make sure Samsung A887 is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

To enter download mode:

  •  Disconnect PC cable;
  •  Insert battery;
  •  Hold both ‘Volume Down’ and ‘Camera’ keys and press ‘Power ON’ button.

Resurrector will reflash radio’s boot zone and will re-write PDA’s HBOOT version 2.10.0000.
In addition, you can set S-OFF (unlock HBOOT so you will be able to flash any ROM) by clicking “Make S-OFF” checkbox in the resurrector settings.

To resurrect HTC Rezound:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to HTC Rezound JTAG pads;
  •  Insert batter and connect USB Data cable;
  •  Make sure HTC Rezound is selected in the list of models;
  •  If you use only battery, press Power On key;
  •  Click Resurrect button;

Repairing bricked HTC Explorer is easy with the RIFF Box. Phone is auto powered on with USB Data Cable connected to the PC. Battery presence may be required.
In case you have no USB cable near, make sure battery is charged enough and hold Power On button during initiation of JTAG connection.
Resurrector will reflash radio’s boot zone and will re-write PDA’s SPL to 1.01.0000 version. Additionally to SPL and Radio zones, the zone which contains Model ID is re-flashed too. Thus after resurrection phone will have Model ID = ‘PJ0310000’.

To resurrect HTC Explorer:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to HTC Explorer JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure HTC Explorer is selected in the list of models;
  •  If you use battery, press Power On key;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;

Repairing bricked HTC Surround (PD26100) is easy with the RIFF Box. Phone is auto powered on with USB Data Cable connected to the PC while battery is connected.
In case you have no USB cable near, make sure battery is charged enough and hold Power On button during initiation of JTAG connection.
Resurrector will reflash radio’s boot zone and will re-write PDA’s SPL to 0.74.1000 version. Additionally to SPL and Radio zones, the zone which contains Model ID is re-flashed too. Thus after resurrection phone will have Model ID = ‘PD26*****’.

To resurrect HTC Surround (PD26100):

  •  Solder JTAG cable to HTC Surround JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure HTC Surround (PD26100) is selected in the list of models;
  •  If you use battery, press Power On key;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

Repairing bricked LinkSys WRT54GL is easy with the RIFF Box. Router is powered on when power plug is attached. If connection process stops at “Establish communication with the phone…” just reset router’s power.
Current resurrector contains Boot, Configuration and Firmware zones for memory chip with ID 0x00C2/0x22A8

To resurrect LinkSys WRT54GL:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to LinkSys WRT54GL JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure LinkSys WRT54GL is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Choose which areas to flash;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  De-solder JTAG wires;

Now router is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally you can flash it via UART using known flashing methods. Or you can do resurrection checking full clone resurrect option – this will re-write all flash memory contents.

Resurrector will re-flash radio’s boot zone and will re-write PDA’s SPL to 0.71.1000 or 0.00.1000 SPL version (depends on your choice). Additionally to SPL and Radio zones, the zone which contains Model ID is re-flashed too. Thus after resurrection phone will have Model ID = ‘PC9210000’.

To resurrect HTC 7 Pro:

  •  Solder JTAG cable to HTC 7 Pro JTAG pads;
  •  Insert USB Data cable into board and PC;
  •  Make sure HTC 7 Pro is selected in the list of models;
  •  Click Resurrect button;
  •  Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  •  Disconnect power supply, de-solder JTAG wires;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using known flashing methods.

To enter download mode:

  •  Disconnect PC cable;
  •  Insert battery;
  •  Hold ‘Volume Down’ key and press ‘Power ON’ button. In few seconds you should see TriColor picture.
