RIFF JTAG – HTC Desire Eye 4G LTE EMEA M910n Boot repair supported

Repairing bricked HTC Desire M910n (0PFH11000) via ISP connection is easy with the RIFF Box.
Additionally to HBOOT and Radio zones, the zone which contains Model ID is re-flashed too. Thus after resurrection phone will have Model ID = ‘0PFH11000’.

To resurrect HTC Desire M910n (0PFH11000) via ISP connection:

  • Get access to HTC Desire M910n (0PFH11000) board (PCB);
  • Check schematics picture for solder positions of CLK, DAT0, CMD and GND signals;
  • Remove (de-solder) the CLK resistor;
  • Solder CLK, DAT0, CMD and GND wires to the specified pads on the PCB;
  • Attach battery
  • Connect USB Data cable;
  • Make sure HTC Desire M910n (0PFH11000) ISP is selected in the list of models;
  • Click Resurrect button;
  • Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
  • Disconnect USB cable and battery, de-solder wires and solder back the CLK resistor;

Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally you can flash it using known flashing methods.

– RIFF JTAG Manager v1.64:

  • Fixed Password Recovery feature
    (Authorization code sending feature was broken, due to wrongly configured timeout)
  • Fixed bug which caused JTAG Manager crash after clean install and successive downloading of a DLL file while there were no PKG files installed.
  • Improved login interface – the registered email is automatically filled in to the Login field.
    (Remember that You can use both registered user name or e-mail as login. With this feature Your registered e-mail address is automatically inserted in login dialog form, so You just have to type in Your password)
  • JTAG Manager Main Window Width is increased to increase the width of Resurrector Name fields

RIFF JTAG Manager v1.63 released

JTAG Manager 1.63

  • RIFF2’s eMMC Voltages list bug is fixed.
  • BOX detection is re-worked. No special drivers are required anymore, standard COM Port Windows drivers can be used.
  • No need to enter COM Port numbers manually for Windows 10. Box is detected automatically as for older Windows versions.
  • Added “Missing Resource” feature. If DLL is missing some resource, for example schematics picture, logs or binary data,
    the JTAG Manager will popup special dialog so it is possible for custmers to upload data to RIFF Server after which the DLL can be updated with missing data.

After six successful years since the first RIFF Box hardware was released, we’re proud to introduce our new v2 RIFF Box hardware. We did our best to develop a reliable, marvelous, yet functional device.

Below you can read the basics about it. Of course, this is preliminary and just a start. RIFF Box v2 hardware is designed so that it can accommodate a large variety of communication protocols, including those of highest importance for starters.

RIFF JTAG Manager v1.58 RIFF Box Firmware v1.38 released (eMMC Support)

Here is JTAG Manager v1.58 with ISP/Direct eMMC support.
To use it, please prepare Your RIFF Box installation folder:

– Rename JTAG Manager v1.56 so You can continue using it if Your account is expired
– Backup “Useful plugins” folder content because old plugins are incompatible with new Exe, and old exe is incompatible with new plugins.
– Start v1.58 exe and download license (If Your account is not expired)
– Update Box firmware to v1.38
– Download new plugins

– Added direct eMMC Access Interface on the RIFFBOX RJ-45 port (check pinout picture for CMD, CLK, DAT0, etc pins positions).
– Added eMMC/SD Access page for Read/Write operations on eMMC/SD card via direct interface
– Added eMMC/SD Advanced dialog which allows to perform advanced operations with eMMC/SD cards
(reading info, browsing through OCR, CID, CSD (and EXT_CSD for eMMC only) registers’ fields, edit separate fields and writting back to card, reading/writting eMMC card’s MCU’s internal firmware, etc)
